| provide the safety,
discrimination and low maintenance that is required by the electric
power industry, pulp and paper industry and many other large industrial
users around the world. Forney Corporation is a leading supplier of
flame detection equipment for multi burner applications. Our flame
detectors can be found on all types of applications including wall
fired, tangentially fired, arch fired and cyclone fired boilers as well
as Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) and Heat Recovery Steam Generator
(HRSG) applications.
Forney has been
providing flame detection for over 50 years starting from the early
development of the ultraviolet sensors most commonly used for natural
gas and light oils and infrared sensors used for coal, lignite and
heavy oil. Forney's three distinct flame detection systems offer unique
features to meet the industry's needs.
Intelligent Dynamic
Detector System
Each detector in the Inteligent Dynamic Detector (IDD) series requires
an amplifier and is fiber optic compatible.
· The IDD II
Detector is used
for coal and heavy oil.
· Natural gas and light oils use the IDD IIU
, IDD UV
or the UV-4 .
· The DR6101E
Amplifier features
the capability of supporting two detectors (also compatible with UV-4).
· The IDD
Amplifier supports
one detector but provides the widest range of tuning capabilities.
Both the DR6101E and the IDD amplifier are available as rack mount or
panel mount.
UniFlame Self
Contained Detector System
The UniFlame
features the
detector processor and amplifier output contacts all within the same
housing, eliminating the need for supporting cabinets. This modern
system allows both automatic and manual tuning capabilities for both
infrared and ultra violet applications.
Digital Profile Self
Tuning Detector System
The Digital
Profile Detector features a compact housing for
both the flame sensor and signal processor but requires a remote
cabinet for the power supply and output contacts. This system allows
both local and remote automatic tuning capabilities for infrared and
ultra violet versions.
